Many of our student-athletes join The Togethership with the goal of competing in one or more specific sports. Our evidence-based performance training program includes sports-specific skills development focused on building foundational strengths, tactical strategies, and mental fortitude that translate to your student-athlete’s sport(s) of choice. Employing individualized plans tailored to each student-athlete’s profile, our experienced coaches provide personalized training that set your student up for long-term success as a competitive athlete, effective team player, and asset for any team.

Football

Football

At The Togethership, our football training emphasizes mastering fundamental skills, mental resilience, and game strategy. Using proven training techniques, our coaches design age-appropriate programs that address each student-athlete’s unique strengths, experience level, and areas for improvement. Football training combines technique development, game awareness, and the mental acuity needed to thrive on the field.


Focused on building core competencies, training covers footwork, speed, agility, and body control essential for every position. Drills include precision passing and catching; stance, foot positioning, and hand placement for blocking; effective tackling techniques; quick-change direction and pursuit angles for defense; route running, timing, and reaction; field vision, reads, and decision-making for quarterbacks; kicking and punting accuracy; and more. Real-time play scenarios and scrimmages further refine positioning, timing, and communication skills that elevate team play.


Along with physical development, student-athletes learn situational awareness, tactical understanding, and how to anticipate plays. With an emphasis on teamwork, communication, and leadership, our program instills the discipline and mindset needed to excel on the field and beyond.

Using the latest proven training techniques, our trainers and coaches create an age-appropriate plan around your student-athlete’s experience, strengths, and areas of improvement. With a focus on the fundamentals, basketball training combines skill development, game flow understanding, and mental acuity. 


Fundamentals training is geared toward helping your student-athlete develop greater control, accuracy, speed, footwork precision and agility, defense strategies, conditioning, game IQ, and situational awareness. Drills cover a wide range of key skills including stationery and speed dribbling; spot shooting, free throws, and catch-and-shoot; chest and bounce passes, passing under pressure, and full-court passes; 1-on-1 defense, closeouts and rebounding; and more. With plenty of real-time game practice, your student-athlete will also learn to become an effective team player and communicator — vital skills for succeeding on the court.

BASEBALL

Evidence-backed baseball training at The Togethership is aimed at strengthening core skills across a range of domains. Your student-athlete will build techniques for batting, fielding, throwing, base running, and catching. For student-athletes training to become pitchers, skills development encompasses grip and release, proper pitching and swing mechanics and stance, accuracy, and velocity.  Drills cover a wide range of technique enhancements, and include live batting practice; ground and fly ball fielding; long toss, accuracy and relay throwing; sprint, lead-off, and sliding; target and flat ground; receiving and throw-down; and more.

 

 

While building stamina, speed, and agility, your student will also work on mental game and strategy. This includes learning to make quick decisions in real-time, heightening awareness, anticipating ball movement, maintaining focus, and recovering from mistakes.

LACROSSE

Lacrosse skills development cover a range of techniques for effective play, including stick handling/cradling, passing, shooting, and defending. Your student-athlete will learn proper techniques, form, and movement for maintaining ball control and maneuvering on the field; passing and receiving passes cleanly and accurately; proper grip, stance, and timing for accurate shooting; evading defenders and opening pass lanes with agility; speed for scooping up ground balls; defensive maneuvers including disrupting passes and forcing turnovers; reaction time for effective goalkeeping; and transitioning the ball from the defensive to offensive end quickly and efficiently.

 

 

Training also focuses on game IQ, effective communication with teammates, field awareness, and fast decision making. A combination of drills, conditioning, and scrimmages that simulate real-game scenarios build well-rounded lacrosse competitors who stand out on the field.

SOCCER

A sport that involves exceptional stamina, speed, agility, situational awareness, and fast reaction time, soccer requires well-rounded athletes who bring wide-ranging skills across multiple areas. Soccer training at The Togethership aims at strengthening the skills, techniques, and proficiencies of student-athletes while teaching them to be effective members of a team. Practice and drills focus on dribbling using both feet as well as quickly changing direction and speed to evade defenders; perfecting shorter as well as longer-range passes for scoring; scanning the field and receiving the ball with control; proper body positioning and follow-through for scoring; accurate crossing and finishing; defending, tackling, and closing down space; corners, free kicks, and penalties; goalkeeping; and more.

 

Your student-athlete will also learn the fundamentals of tactical awareness, formation, and anticipation essential to making smart decisions on the field. Along with improved conditioning, training helps develop mental toughness to stay focused and confident under pressure.
