Rigorous Academics

At The Togethership, we’re not just focused on empowering students to become exceptional scholars and athletes. We strive to give student-athletes the experiences, self-awareness, confidence, and capacity to become better humans that make a better world. Inside our classrooms, training facilities, sports fields, and across our campus, we recognize and build on the individual gifts of every student-athlete and ensure that no one falls through the cracks. 

By creating a culture that celebrates teamwork, collaboration, sportsmanship, tenacity, and empathy, we help student-athletes realize and achieve their own potential as well as the potential of those around them. Our unique philosophy is centered around three basic tenants.

Our student-athletes are exceptional, but never boastful. They are coachable, and understand that there is always more room for improvement. They believe the reward is in the work, not the winning.

Our student-athletes are driven, passionate, resilient, goal-oriented, and willing to do the work to be better every day. They seize the opportunity and continually strive for excellence.

Every student-athlete understands that they are part of a team, and that by lifting up their fellow students they lift themselves up as well. They think beyond themselves.
These tenants inform and infuse everything we do, how our faculty, staff and coaches mentor students, and how the students interact with each other.

HOLISTIC LEARNING FOR BODY, MIND, & SPIRIT

We believe that learning, growth, and self-discovery involve the whole student — body, mind, and spirit. Our uniquely holistic approach to education and performance training encompasses a well-rounded and integrated approach to supporting our student-athletes’ physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing.

Performance Training

While recognizing the unique talents and sports interests of each student, we focus on developing well-rounded athletes. Our evidence-based performance training approach encompasses strength, speed, agility, power, stamina, movement, and technique, appropriately customized for each student-athlete’s experiences, ability, and age.

Nutrition Coaching

Our in-house nutrition coach makes sure our student-athletes are provided with well-balanced, healthy, hot meals and snacks throughout the day, teaches them the importance of good nutrition for improved performance, and helps them develop healthy habits for life.

Leadership Coaching

Leadership coaches mentor and guide student-athletes to become effective, empathetic, inspiring, and humble leaders in the classroom, on the field, and beyond.

Mobility & Recovery

We place an emphasis on injury prevention with evidence-based programming to enhance mobility, movement efficiency, and allow for ample recovery that promotes longevity across their athletic career.

Chalk-Talks

These sessions focus on creating mental fortitude and resilience, and teach student-athletes the importance of strategy, problem-solving, visualization, and character development.

Mindfulness

Student-athletes participate in a range of mindfulness practices including meditation and yoga designed to develop heightened awareness, focus, and concentration that translate to better academic and athletic performance. Mindfulness also has excellent benefits for mental health and wellness.

Public Speaking & Communications

Student-athletes are encouraged to develop confident speaking and communication skills that provide them with a significant advantage when transitioning to high school classrooms, athletic programs, and eventually college and scholarship applications.

Life Skills

To help them prepare for the next phase of their education, athletic career, and life, student-athletes learn a wide range of life skills including financial literacy, good study habits, goal setting, self-management, and time management.

Creative Arts

We encourage student-athletes to express themselves and their ideas and build confidence through a wide range of creative arts. Students’ creative projects are proudly displayed and connect to each student’s individual passion and interests.

Community Engagement

Student-athletes participate in service projects outside the classroom that allow them to see the positive impact they can have on communities and people’s lives.
