Elite Preparation—On and Off the Field
Club Connections
On the HS placement page, under Club Connections, change to this updated paragraph:
Our administration and coaches work closely with Clubs across Southern Orange County to make sure our performance training programs complement and bolster the training student-athletes receive outside of school. 99% of Togethership students play on club or youth teams outside of school. While those practices focus on team concepts (plays, schemes, etc.), we complement that by emphasizing strength, speed, and the mental side of the game. Our on-campus performance development programs help build better, stronger, faster, and smarter Club competitors that get more play time and more notice.
High School Partnerships
We have cultivated strong relationships with the athletic departments, coaches, and admissions staff at prestigious public and private high schools across the region. We know who’s recruiting and what they’re looking for in athletes. In turn, high school coaches recognize, respect, and trust our staff and programs to prepare student-athletes to become outstanding competitors, leaders, and team players. Our staff includes current coaches from both public and private high schools, giving us a direct connection to the high school sports landscape and deep insight into what it takes to succeed at the next level.
High School Visits
Student-athletes have the opportunity to explore high school options and connect directly with athletic and admissions staff. While we previously took students on high school tours, we now primarily host high school coaches and admissions representatives on our campus due to the growing size of our student body. These on-campus visits allow students to hear directly from school staff, ask questions, and learn about athletic programs and admissions expectations. We also support students in setting up individual shadow days and private tours at the local high schools of their choice, ensuring they get a personalized look at their top options.
Admissions Counseling
Our Admissions Team brings experience working in high school environments as well as strong relationships with high school administration. Calling on this knowledge, we help student-athletes set themselves up for success with guidance on coursework, applications, and choosing the right school where they can get on the field or court to shine.
Holistic Performance Training
Our evidence-based performance development encompasses strength, speed, stamina, and agility training; recovery, mobility, and injury prevention; an emphasis on building foundational skills, techniques, and movement efficiency; as well as strategy, mental fortitude, and being a team player. High school coaches know our student-athletes are ready to compete and contribute to a stronger team and athletic program.
Leadership Development
Our unique Chalk Talk and mentorship programs focus on the mental aspect of performance, with an emphasis on attitude, visualization, and strategy. We also coach student-athletes on body language, how to be a great teammate, and other often-overlooked qualities that shape how they’re perceived by coaches and teammates.
Student-athletes develop strong communication and presentation skills, leadership qualities, and emotional maturity that help them stand out and make positive impressions on high school and college recruiters.
Reclassification
Our HSP reclassification program allows student-athletes to change their graduation year—commonly referred to as “reclassifying” or “holding back”—in order to complete an additional year of advanced academic preparation, performance training, and personal maturity before entering high school. This extra year can provide a meaningful advantage in athletic development, confidence, and high school placement.
We also guide families through important eligibility considerations, including CIF Rule 203, which states that a student becomes ineligible for high school athletics if they turn 19 before June 15 of their senior year. No age waivers are granted, regardless of academic performance, which underscores the importance of understanding how reclassification impacts long-term eligibility and planning accordingly.
